| Eco Smart says "The Rotary Manure Spreader is a True "Green" Manure Shredding Machine!" An average 1,000-pound horse produces 9 tons of manure a year, 50 pounds per day, containing valuable fertilizer elements. Add to that an additional cubic foot of bedding material and you get 730 cubic feet/year from one horse. Manure management in pastures depends primarily on getting good distribution of manure across the pasture. The Rotary Manure Spreader is the most ecological manure spreader to use because the manure is shred into small pieces that dry out and incorporate faster into the soil returning nutrients, enzymes, and microbial organisms to the soil much more quickly than the traditional "clumpy" spread. |

| Manure contains valuable plant and soil nutrients, including : nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, sulphur, calcium, magnesium, copper, manganese, zinc, boron, and iron. As a general estimate, the yearly phosphorous needs for one acre of forage pasture can be met by spreading manure from one, 1,000 pound horse. |
